Hello and welcome!

My name is Donna Williams, and I am the heart, hands, and voice behind Emerald Park Border Collies. I’m thrilled to launch this blog, where I’ll be sharing everything about life with Border Collies, the puppies I raise, and the joy and science behind responsible dog breeding.

Who I Am

I’m 60 years old, a grandmother of two little girls, and a lifelong animal lover. While Emerald Park has been sold, I’m now building a new home in the Tamworth region, designed purposefully for my dogs and for raising puppies in a safe, enriching, and stimulating environment.

I hold a Bachelor of Science, a Diploma in Education, and I am a Certified Canine Raw Food Specialist. Retired from the “real world,” I now dedicate my time fully to breeding and raising puppies and educating puppy owners.

My Breeding Philosophy

At Emerald Park Border Collies, my goal is simple: to raise healthy, well-tempered, and intelligent puppies that thrive in loving homes. My program goes far beyond pedigree research and health testing. I focus on raising puppies who are behaviorally confident, resilient, and ready to handle the challenges of modern life.

I follow the Puppy Culture protocols, an advanced and scientifically backed approach to socialisation and enrichment. Every puppy receives early neurological stimulation, early scent introduction, sound and object exposure, and temperament evaluations. These carefully planned activities ensure that each puppy grows into a happy, adaptable, and well-rounded dog.

Enrichment and Early Development

From birth, each litter follows my Advanced Puppy Curriculum:

  • Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) from Day Three

  • Scent introduction following Dr. Gayle Watkins’ method

  • Sound and object desensitisation starting at two to three weeks

  • Basic obedience and socialisation beginning at seven to eight weeks

These exercises are about building confidence, curiosity, and resilience—preparing each puppy for a lifetime of learning and love.

Joining New Families

By eight weeks, puppies are ready to join their new families, fully prepared with:

  • Toilet and crate training started

  • Vet-checked, vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped

  • Genetic testing and pedigrees provided

  • A comprehensive puppy pack and six weeks of free pet insurance

  • Lifetime breeder support

Every puppy becomes part of my heart forever, and I support my families every step of the way.
